Thank You Jesus for our October New Dawn Evening!
This month we were delighted to welcome Fr Michael Payyapilly VC from the Divine Retreat Centre, Pantasaph.
Fr Michael gave a powerful talk on approaching the Lord with purity of intention. Drawing on the examples of the woman with the haemorrhage who reached out to touch Jesus, Bartimaeus who cried out to Him, and Zacchaeus who came down from the tree, he encouraged us not to remain at a distance but to take a step of faith and move from simply knowing about Jesus to encountering Him personally.
During Eucharistic Adoration, Fr Michael led a beautiful time of healing prayer, sharing words of knowledge that resonated deeply with many people. We are so grateful for the generosity with which he celebrated Holy Mass, shared his message, and ministered God’s healing throughout the evening.
We were also pleased to welcome Fr Blaise Nsangou as concelebrant and homilist, alongside Fr Martin Collins and Fr Stanto, who made themselves available to hear confessions throughout the evening. We are equally thankful to our prayer ministry team, who stayed on afterwards to pray with those seeking encouragement, healing, and support.
A special thank you also goes to our music ministry. Through their prayerful worship, they help lead us through each New Dawn Evening, creating an atmosphere where people can open their hearts to the Lord and receive all that He desires to give.
Each New Dawn Evening includes Holy Mass, a keynote talk, Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and personal prayer ministry. Since launching earlier this year, the evenings have continued to grow and have become a wonderful source of renewal for people from across the region and beyond.
We’re also excited to share that our next New Dawn Evening will take place on Thursday 12 November, when we will welcome Fr Christopher McBride CFR of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal as our keynote speaker.
We would love for you to join us for another evening of prayer, worship, and encounter with the Lord.
All are welcome.
