A Community That Prays Together
Built On
Prayer

Renewal isn’t going to happen without prayer! We believe in the power of prayer and invite you to get involved in praying for our mission.

A COMMUNITY THAT PRAYS TOGETHER

The Prince of Peace Community was founded on prayer back in the 1980s. Over the years, the Community has amassed prayers for bringing about the reconversion of England. In praying these prayers, you join people up and down the country praying for the renewal of the faith in our lands. Outside of these prayers, we also encourage you to pray the Rosary as we believe that Our Lady and her shrine in Walsingham are at the heart of renewal in England.

Novena to the Holy Spirit  |  Pope John XXIII

In 1962, Pope John XXIII prayed the Novena to the Holy Spirit for a ‘New Pentecost’ in preparation for the Second Vatican Council.

Renew Your wonders in this our day as by a new Pentecost
Father, pour out Your Spirit upon Your people and grant us a
new vision of Your glory,
a new experience of Your Power,
a new faithfulness to Your Word and
a new consecration to Your service, that Your love may grow among us and Your Kingdom come through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

God the Holy Spirit,
Comforter and Sanctifier,
melt our hearts
that we may accept Your love,
renew our minds that we may know Your Truth,
strengthen our wills
that we may serve You faithfully,
through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

Daily Prayer for Priests  |  Saint Faustina

The Daily Prayer For Priests was composed by Saint Faustina and prayed daily by Myles Dempsey (founder of the Prince of Peace Community). Myles had a strong devotion/charism in praying for Christ’s Shepherds and greatly influenced the vocation of many priests.

Heavenly Father, grant that our Priests be strengthened and healed by the power of the Eucharist they celebrate. May the Word they proclaim give them courage and wisdom. We pray that all those whom they seek to serve, may see in them the love and care of Jesus our Eternal High Priest, who is Lord for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for England  |  Cardinal Merry del Val

The Prayer for England was composed by Pope Leo XXIII’s English Secretary of State, the great Cardinal Merry del Val. Pope Leo included the prayer in his 1895 Apostolic Letter promoting religious unity with Christians in England: Amantissimae Voluntatis.

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother, look down upon England your Dowry and upon us all who greatly hope and trust in you.

By you it was that Jesus our Saviour and our hope was given to the world; and He has given you to us that we might hope still more.

Plead for us your children, whom you did receive and accept at the foot of the cross, O Sorrowful Mother.

Intercede for our separated brethren, that with us in the one true fold they may be united to the Chief Shepherd, the Vicar of your Son.

Pray for us all, dear Mother, that by faith fruitful in good works we may deserve to see and praise God, together with you, in our heavenly home.

 Amen.
